Painted timber is always a problem in the long term for glasshouses and greenhouses. It requires sanding down and several coats of paint, particularly to the outside surfaces, every 3-7 years. This is why we manufacture our structures from aluminium and steel (hot dipped galvanized).
Our structures are powder coated, which is a modern form of enameling, and are available in a wide range of BS and RAL colours.
A wide range of glazing materials are available. The most common being horticultural greenhouse glass (standard) or 4mm toughened glass.
All our glasshouses, greenhouses and orangeries are manufactured in-house. This means we control the whole design and manufacturing process for your bespoke glasshouse within one building. An important aspect of Glasshouse design is the capping system. Our new wood effect cap gives the visual effect of a carved wooden cap but with the ease of maintenance of modern materials.
Our patented snap-on capping provides efficient energy-saving insulation for the aluminum glazing bar and helps reduce glass slip and water leakage problems, it also prevents the growth of moss and algae on the glazing.
Depending upon distance, we can undertake the complete building works including removal and disposal of existing buildings.
We always provide a complete erection and glazing service as it is very important that the structure is erected to our high specification.
Our glasshouses are designed with the very best ventilation systems in the industry using a range of fully automatic and hand operated ventilation systems.
We use Bayliss Hydraulicheck automatic ventilator openers - which gives the user automatic ventilation without the need for electricity. Where larger openings are required, we install hand operated full length ventilators to both the side and roof to maximize the openings and provide a through-flow of air. These can be automated giving the user peace of mind that their plants will be fully ventilated in their absence.
We design our glasshouses to have much more than the recommended minimum amount of ventilation. And with our ridge and eaves gutter design we can tailor the ventilation to your exact requirements.
We make our own aluminum doors in-house which are then colour-matched to the glasshouse. Single doors are usually made to fit a 3' (912mm) opening to allow access for wheelchairs and wheelbarrows (unless of course we are replacing an existing glasshouse with a narrower existing door width).
We can also supply double doors if preferred and can tailor any door to the client’s needs.
